Global attention is on the upcoming UNFCCC climate change conference, COP25, hosted by Chile in Madrid, Spain from December 2-13. With heightened awareness and concern regarding parties’ commitments and meaningful climate action, many have high hopes for the activity and results coming out of COP25. The main focus will be on Article 6, and once again, the strong presence and impact of subnational jurisdictions will be influential at the event.
The Climate Registry and the Climate Action Reserve invite you to join us as we discuss expectations for COP25 during a pre-COP webinar on Wednesday, November 13 10:00 am – 11:00 am PT. Speakers will address expectations and goals for the overall event; messages and goals of US states and Canadian provinces and territories; and an overview of Article 6 work that is expected to take place. Speakers include Julie Cerqueira, Executive Director, U.S. Climate Alliance; Alden Meyer, Director of Strategy and Policy, Union of Concerned Scientists; and Katie Sullivan, Managing Director, IETA.
