The draft Mexico Forest Protocol Version 3.0 is available for public review and comment. Proposed updates include the revision of mechanisms to comply with the permanence and social safeguard requirements for ejidos and communities, the application of stratification for forest inventories, modifications for mangrove ecosystems such as the inclusion of soil carbon and the standardized additionality assessment, among other topics. Public comments are due by 6:00 pm PT on Friday, August 12, 2022 to policy@climateactionreserve.org.
